We bought his Nottingham dental practice and his dog!
Having newly qualified as a general dentist with specialization in Endodontic treatments, like root canal therapy, my husband was in search of buying his first dental practice in Nottingham and to also employ Nottingham dentists. I remember thinking, “Will he succeed?” It’s not a questionable thought that I am proud of because I should have had more faith in him.
Iqbal went ahead and bought the practice. As I was expecting, I wasn’t that involved when the dental practice was for sale nor in the actual purchase. He has seen the dental businesses for sale on the Internet, responded to the advertisement, and it went from there. The senior dentist and sole owner was retiring. What my husband did not tell me is that the retiring dentist couldn’t take his dog with him to his new location.
Buying this dental practice was a good deal, but hinged on a dog that goes against our usual religious ways. The retiring dentist included a clause that the dog be sold with his practice. Can you believe that?! It was the dog or no practice. And the clause went deeper than any tooth cosmeticdentistryguide.co.uk/articles/root-canal.html! The dog had to have its bed in the practice reception where it always stayed! We bought the Nottingham dental practice and his dog, Fred. Fred died last Spring and our practice has thrived. Not with thanks to my doubting faith, but with thanks to God and our Fred.
